Cemetery Bus Tours
We do not provide a bus for the Bus Tours. This tour is for clubs, families, groups, etc., who have come to Hillside (Mt. Carmel Cemetery) on a bus.We will then board your bus and give you a customized private ghost tour of Mt. Carmel Cemetery on your bus.
Mount Carmel is one of Chicago's finest graveyards.Mt. Carmel is equally famous for the graves of Chicago's notorious gangsters of the 1920s - including:
Earl "Hymie" Weiss, leader of the O'Banion gang after O'Banion's murder, was shot dead by Capone's men in front of Holy Name Cathedral on State street.
The "Terrible Gennas":The Genna brothers lived in the South Side's Little Italy, on Taylor Street. Originally they made their fortune as a "Black Hand" gang - that is, extortion. When Prohibition came, they naturally turned their abilities toward bootlegging.

Guidelines & Costs
We have available a 2 hour and a 3 hour tour.
Participants are allowed to leave the bus at most of the stops, but this is completely up to the Director of the group. We are open to any way that is preferred by the group. tours are available between 11am and 4pm.
The costs are: 2 hour tour - $300 for up to 13 participants, and $20 for each additional participant. 3 hour tour includes tour of Queen of Heaven Cemetery) - $400 for up to 13 participants, and $25 for each additional participant.
There are 3 bus sizes to choose from: 14, 20, and 25 passenger.
There are no age restrictions or minimum ages with private tours. You may bring anyone you desire to.
We will gladly acknowledge an honoree if you'd like.
Call to reserve a date and time. Half the expected cost is due up front to hold the reservation, with the balance paid at the tour.
The reservation can be canceled up to 10 days prior to tour, receiving a full refund.
After that, half the deposit will be returned.

Tour Schedule
The Bus tours do not run on a schedule. They are booked for the times that the group desires.
